It’s everybody’s nightmare. You catch the carp of a life time and there’s nobody about to help you get the trophy shot. So you put your camera on self timer, hope for the best and hey presto, you’ve chopped your head off in the shot and only got half of the carp in the frame.

How to take your own Trophy Shots
OK, SO WE’VE been lucky enough to catch that fish of a lifetime, but no one’s around to help you to take a few snaps. I’ll try and give a few pointers on what to do.
Things you’ll need
- Camera!
- Tripod - mine was only £15 or so from a clearance bin
- Bankstick
- Some form of remote for the camera
