Wales Carp Masters Final
The much anticipated final of the Wales Carp Masters took place at Celtic Lakes Resort over the weekend of 28th -30th September 2007.
The event proved to be a huge success with anglers from the 25 qualifying heats located at 5 different venues in Wales battling it out for the first prize of £10,001. The competitors battled it out in a 44 hour enduro which saw a total off 84 fish caught with a total weight of 681lbs with Sky TV on site to capture this impressive event.
The event was one by Mark Adams and Dean Amesbury from Tredegar.
In Second place were Paul Jones and Anthony Budd who had been leading the competition from the start until the last 6 hours. They scooped £4,000 of prizes.
The Father and son combination of Martin and Joe Newby came third and collected £3,000 in Prizes. Joe was the youngest competitor in the final at just 14 years old.
