Charity Fishing Match at Lindholme Lakes
3 years ago, Kevin Allen’s wife was diagnosed with breast cancer. Kevin felt the need to put something back into the wonderful charity that his wife so much support. She endured 3 operations , chemotherapy , and radiotherapy and now needs another 5hr operation, but is doing very well. 2 years ago, Kevin organised the first match in aid of the Fast Track Breast Clinic. 3 matches on, and he has raised nearly £4000.
This year’s event will again take place at Lindholme Lakes on Wednesday 2nd May, 2007. The draw will be at 09:00 and fishing from 10am - 4pm. £20 entry. Last year, 80 anglers took part. Kevin hopes to increase that to 150 this year.
Raffle tickets are available on the day, or by post at £1 per strip. Over £3000 in prizes were won last year, including tackle, DVDs, bait, TVs etc.
This year the event is sponsored by “ANT BAIT” and again there is a 28″ colour TV up for grabs.
