Bagging Up - Carp Fishing

 

A forty is a dream fish for many. Blackpool carp angler Ian Huntington has taken 7 carp in a 48 hour session at Acton Burnell, the Shropshire syndicate water averaging 40lb 7oz!

Fishing the Bottom Lake, after all his fancied swims on the Top Lake were taken, Ian fished a new Mainline Bait called the Cell that he is field testing. He used 10mm boilies over a new groundbait he is also testing, known as Winterised Activated Groundbait. Ian used prototype Fox international hooks and hooklinks.

The 7 fish haul comprised of mirrors weighing 32lb 12oz, 36lb, 36lb 6oz, 37lb 12oz, 40lb 6oz and 47lb 4oz and the lakes biggest resident, 52lb 8oz common called Bill.
